Brian Nhira is the young Oral Roberts University graduate auditioning on Season 10 of The Voice. When he’s not performing in front of coaches Adam Levine, Pharrell, Christina Aguilera, and Blake Shelton, Nhira is promoting his debut album, Hope’s Stand. The cover of the album features Nhira wearing a grey flannel suit. One half of him looks pressed and professional, the other half shows his face is bruised and cut, with his clothes ripped. It’s a serious album that addresses serious issues.
Nhira’s music video for the single “Back Where You Belong” features a little boy lip syncing the lyrics about an absentee father. “Each and every day I pray that you come back,” is one of the lines which is followed by “there’s no other hug than a father’s hug.” Expect Brian Nhira to pull on the heartstrings of America on The Voice, which airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
