Who said Art is useless? An art collective has purchased a Donald Trump campaign bus and transformed it into a travelling exhibition of anti-Trump art. The vehicle — formerly a bachelor party bus, complete with stripper pole (because Trump is a classy guy) — had been used by Trump’s campaign in Iowa before it was sold on Craigslist. Artists David Gleeson and Mary Mihelic, founders of T. Rutt, amended the slogan on the side of the bus so that it now reads T.RUMP: Make Fruit Punch Great Again and have been taking the “kind of seedy bus” to Trump rallies across the country.
“The T.RUMP Bus uses the bizarre realities of Donald Trump’s bullying presidential campaign to explore important questions about American society today,” say the artists. “The bus is a great platform for responding to Trump’s daily belligerence, whether it be racial, religious, sexist, or his teasing of a handicapped reporter.” The artists have a Kickstarter campaign to pay for gas and maintenance. You can follow the bus’s travels here.
