On the New Girl episode “What About Fred?”, while Nick (Jake Johnson) and Schmidt (Max Greenfield) quibble over how to run the bar, Jess (Zooey Deschanel) decides it’s time to date again. She ends up going out with a dud spud named Fred. Problem is: Jess really likes his parents Nancy (Julie Hagerty) and Flip (Henry Winkler). Who wouldn’t like a grown man named Flip?
