With a disappointed look on her beautiful face, American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez gave a wise warning to three singers after what was supposed to be a collaborative team effort on American Idol. Eliz Camacho, Gianna Isabella and Dana Ordway had just finished a not-very-together performance when Lopez told them to beware. Learn to work together, she urged, or your time in the entertainment business will be very short — if it comes at all.
Lopez then revealed the secret of her own longevity in show business. “That’s why I’ve been around so long,” JLo said. “Because people like to work with me. If you can’t play well with others you may have a moment, if you’re super-talented. But you won’t last.” Lopez backs up her advice with a career that keeps on rising. A successful recording artist, producer, dancer, choreographer and actress, right now Lopez has her own massive residency show in Las Vegas, she’s owning the final season of American Idol, all while producing and starring in the new TV drama Shades of Blue. In all of these ventures, she shares the screen and stage with aplomb, as guest stars flock to her Vegas shows to perform with her.
