In the TV movie Family for Christmas, single Hannah Dunbar (Lacey Chabert) enjoys her career as an investigative journalist but starts to question her decision to choose a career over a family. At a work holiday party, she confesses to a man dressed as Santa that she would like a family for Christmas. The next day she wakes up married to her college sweetheart Ben Matthews, living with their two daughters and a dog in the suburbs.
Ben is portrayed by Tyron Leitso. The 39-year-old actor is best known for his roles on the Canadian TV shows Being Erica (Ethan Wakefield), Whistler (Detective Rob Randall), Wonderfalls (Eric Gotts), and Edgemont (Derek MacMahon). Leisto is also recognized for his roles in the films My Life Without Me starring Sarah Polley, House of the Dead, Suddenly opposite Ray Liotta, and Assault of Wall Street with Dominic Purcell. Family For Christmas will premiere on Hallmark Channel on December 13 at 8pm.
