The internet predictably had some fun with the alleged revelation that the iPhone autocorrect feature suggested “Kardashian” when one simply wanted to type in lardass. (The discovery apparently took sometime because only jackasses use the term lardass.) The (innocent?) substitution gave a chuckle to many, both because of the two words’ sonic similarities — and because reality star Kim Kardashian boasts a booty that’s been proven heavy enough to “break the internet.”
It’s unclear whether Apple engineers were just having fun (and it never will be clear, too many lawyers on both sides) or if artificial intelligence just really is as far along as Elon Musk warns. It’d probably be more scary (and accurate) if autocorrect suggested “Fat Wallet” for “Kardashian.” Anyway there is no truth to reverse rumor that typing “Kardashian” brings up “lardass.” You need to type in lardass yourself, jackass.
Every time I type “Lardass” into my iPhone it autocorrects to “Kardashian”. You’re not wrong iPhone. You’re not wrong.
