Braiden Sunshine is the 15-year-old singer on The Voice’s Team Gwen. While rehearsing with Gwen and Rihanna a few weeks ago, Rihanna suggested that Braiden slick back his curls. Gwen seconded the idea so Braiden did it for the Live Playoffs. But Braiden clearly did not adapt well to straightened hair and performing without his glasses. After the performance, he jokingly complained that he couldn’t see the judges.
For the Top 10 round, Braiden sang Imagine Dragons’ “Radioactive,” and he finally looks comfortable in his latest appearance. The glasses are back and so are his curls but they’re trimmed and styled — a long way from his original shaggier look. Plus, the sleek black outfit he wore made him look cooler and more confident. “Welcome to the new age,” as he sang. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
