Butch Gilzean is portrayed by Drew Powell. He’s appeared in several TV shows including Aquarius, Castle, Homeland, Major Crimes, Ray Donovan, Modern Family, and Bones, among others. Powell is best known for his recurring roles on The Mentalist (Reede Smith), Ponderosa (Eric ‘Hoss’ Cartwright), and Malcolm in the Middle (Drew). The big man was born big – Powell broke a record at the Indiana hospital where he was born, weighing in at more than 11 lbs. Gotham airs Mondays at 8pm on Fox.
