Former NBA MVP Derrick Rose wore a pretty cool shirt in his post-game press conference after Chicago’s 104-98 win against OKC. The shirt had Rose’s son PJ‘s picture on it. Two-year-old P.J. is the East Coast male version of that other MVP Steph Curry‘s daughter Riley — they both tend to steal the show when the join their dads at press conferences. (Here’s P.J. last year. Riley Curry even has her own basketball shoe.)
The shirt is by ZipTanks, a design company run by Kaeya Majmundar of Chicago (of course). Majmundar’s partner in the ZipTank enterprise? That’s PJ’s mother Mieka Reese. Majmundar impressed investor Lori Greiner on Shark Tank when she presented another idea, her BZBOX, but the entrepreneur never had to take Greiner’s money. Greiner, also a Chicago woman, has become a mentor.
