I binge-watch. You binge-watch. We all binge-watch. That’s probably why the word has been chosen as “Collins Word of the Year.” Lexicographers have noticed a 200% increase in the word’s usage since last year. The official definition of the word is “To watch a large number of television programs (especially all the shows from one series) in succession.” Dadbod, Manspreading and Ghosting have also been added to the dictionary.
A dadbod, in case you didn’t know, is defined as “an untoned and slightly plump male physique, especially one considered attractive.” Ghosting is “ending a relationship by ignoring all communication from the other person.” Celebrity ghosters include Charlize Theron, who did a superb job of pretending that Sean Penn didn’t exist.
