Lifetime is airing a behind-the scenes TV movie about the first four seasons of the 1990s teen soap opera, Beverly Hills, 90210. It starts at the beginning, at the home of TV producer Aaron Spelling (The Mod Squad, Charlie’s Angels) who needs another hit. According to this telling, it was his daughter Tori Spelling who finds the script to Beverly Hills, 90210. Soon actors are hired including the “universally disliked” Shannon Doherty.

Tori Spelling is portrayed by Abby Ross. She’s best known for her roles on Once Upon a Time (Young Emma) and the half-hour Canadian sitcom Seed (Anastasia Colborne). If Ross looks young, that’s because she is. She tweeted on June 10: “When I was 15 people thought I was 18 and now that I’m 18 I’m told I look 15.” The Unauthorized Beverly Hills, 90210 Story will premiere on Lifetime on October 3 at 8pm.
