On The Big Bang Theory, while the guys surprise Leonard (Johnny Galecki) with a belated bachelor party in Mexico, the girls persuade Penny (Kaley Cuoco) to tell her family that she and Leonard got married. That includes her unsuspecting father, Wyatt.
Penny’s father is portrayed by Keith Carradine. The son of Hollywood legend John Carradine (The Grapes of Wrath, Stagecoach), Keith Carradine currently stars on Madam Secretary as the President of the United States. He’s also known for his roles in Fargo (Lou Solverson), Damages (Julian Decker), Dexter (Frank Lundy), and Deadwood (Wild Bill Hickock). Oh, and he has an Oscar. He didn’t get it for acting in Robert Altman’s 1976 film Nashville but Carradine did get a golden statuette for the Best Original Song, “I’m Easy,” which he performed in the film. P.S. He’s also the father of actress Martha Plimpton. The Big Bang Theory airs Mondays at 8pm on CBS. Madam Secretary airs Sundays at 8pm on CBS.
