Who Is Kevin O’Connell, Allison’s Ex, On ‘Dr. Ken’?

On the sitcom Dr. Ken, Ken (Ken Jeong) meets Kevin O’Connell, Allison’s (Suzy Nakamura) ex, who’s now a very well-regarded (and handsome) doctor. When it comes time for Ken to speak at an event in honor of Kevin, Ken roasts him like Don Rickles used to roast Frank Sinatra.

Kevin is portrayed by Will Yun Lee. He’s best known for his tough guy roles in tough guy movies including San Andreas (Dr. Kim Park), The Wolverine, Total Recall, and Die Another Day. Lee is also known for his roles on the TV shows Hawaii Five-0 (Sang Min), True Blood (Mr. Gus), and Cinemax’s Strike Back (Kwon). Lee was born in Virginia to parents who had recently emigrated from Korea. The family eventually moved to San Francisco where Lee – like his father – became a martial artist and won an athletic scholarship to UC Berkeley. Dr. Ken airs Fridays at 8:30pm on ABC.
