In the TV movie My Stepdaughter, the protagonist Jill marries Robert (Matt Socia), which includes inheriting a teenage stepdaughter, Casey (Niki Koss). Casey doesn’t like her new stepmother and will do evil things in order to break up the new marriage. Evil as in kidnap Jill’s 9-year-old daughter Lydia (Ava Acres). Jill even suspects Casey of being involved with the sudden and mysterious death of Jill’s handicapped mother.
