On the reality TV show Sister Wives, one of Kody Brown’s four “wives”, Meri, has decided to divorce Kody, her husband of 24 years. Not because she found him cheating on her (lol) but for what’s considered altruistic in the polygamy world. Meri is divorcing Kody so he can legally marry his fourth “wife” Robyn. When Kody marries Robyn he can legally adopt her three children from a previous marriage (Dayton, 15, Aurora, 12, and Breanna, 9), and they will receive benefits including health insurance like the rest of the Brown children.

It will be an interesting wedding. Particularly as Robyn is expecting again. It will be her and Kody’s second child together – and Kody’s eighteenth child. Robyn wants Meri at the wedding but Meri told her, “I don’t really think I really want to know when you do it.” Sister Wives airs Sundays at 9pm on TLC.
