One of the judges of the 2016 Miss America Competition in Atlantic City, NJ is country singer Brett Eldredge. He just released his second album, Illinois, which is named after his home state. The CMA New Artist of the Year co-wrote all of the 12 songs on the album including the title track, Illinois. He took co-writers Tom Douglas and Crisler to his hometown of Paris, Illinois, to capture the spirit of the rural farm community. He told Rolling Stone: “It’s about what makes you you, and this song makes me me.”
Now how in the world can Eldredge not vote for Miss Illinois, Crystal Davis from Anna, Illinois? Oh, and her talent is singing! Miss America will broadcast live on September 13 at 9pm on ABC.
