Jenna Bush Hager, daughter of former President George W. Bush, gave birth to a baby girl on August 13. She and her husband Henry Hager, have named the baby Poppy Louise Hager. Poppy was the nickname of her grandfather, former President George H.W. Bush. Henry Hager told Today, where Jenna is a correspondent, “We are proud to name her after a man we so adore.”
Henry and Jenna met while he was working on her father’s 2004 presidential campaign. He went on to become a White House aide for Karl Rove. His father is former Virginia Republican Party Chairman John H. Hager, who previously served as the U.S. Department of Education Assistant Secretary under George W. Bush. Henry and Jenna married in 2008. In 2013, they had their first child, a daughter named Margaret Laura “Mila” Hager. Henry Hager currently works at global investment firm KKR as Director, Client and Partner Group.
