Private investigator Rosalie Martinez met and fell in love with Oscar Bolin while she was working with the public defender assigned to Bolin’s case. Oscar Bolin is a convicted serial killer. He was found guilty of murdering three women: 25-year-old Natalie Holley, 26-year-old Teri Matthew, and 17-year-old Stephanie Collins. All three of them were stabbed multiple times and then dumped on the side of a road in Tampa, Florida, in 1986. Rosalie says she “never, never, ever thought for a second that he [Oscar] was guilty of those three murders.”

When Rosalie met Bolin she was married to a prominent Tampa attorney Victor Martinez and lived “a lavish lifestyle” with their four young daughters. Soon after, Rosalie’s husband divorced her. He was given primary custody of their children, then aged 6 to 14. In 1996 Rosalie married Bolin. In her apartment, standing next to a judge, they married over a speaker phone. Eighteen years later and Rosalie Bolin continues to visit her husband twice a week. There are no conjugal visits for death row inmates so their marriage has never been consummated. Rosalie says of her second husband: “He puts me on an emotional pedestal. He listens. He’s there, completely, one hundred percent. He’s not distracted…Nothing’s more important than I am.” ABC 20/20 will air an interview with Rosalie Bolin on August 21 at 10pm.
