NBC correspondents Tamron Hall and Willie Geist will emcee the 39th annual fireworks show for the network (coverage begins at 8pm). Geist and Hall know each other well — they co-anchor Today’s Talk, the third hour of The Today Show.

After studying broadcast journalism and graduating from Temple University, Hall worked for WFLD-TV in Chicago. Right before Barack Obama announced his run for presidency in 2008, she landed a one-on-one interview with him. Shortly after, she joined MSNBC, where she served as a substitute anchor for Keith Olbermann. Since 2010, she’s been the host of NewsNation with Tamron Hall, which airs weekdays at 2pm. She also finds the time to host Deadline Crime on DiscoveryID.
