On Food Fighters, a married firefighter from Georgia competes against top culinary figures including Latin legend Chef Lorena Garcia. Will he be able to stand the heat in the kitchen, or will he hear Garcia say, “Adios!”?
Lorena Garcia was born in Venezuela and has traveled the world. She is best known for competing on the show Top Chef Masters and for the restaurants she owns in airports across the US. Check out those in the American Airlines terminal in Miami and in the Delta terminal in Atlanta. Garcia’s next one will open in the Dallas/Ft. Worth airport. Fun fact about Garcia: Her mother, Blanca Ibáñez served as secretary to former Venezuelan president Jaime Lusinchi, whom she married in 1991. Food Fighters airs Thursdays at 8pm on NBC.
