In the Lifetime TV movie The Bride He Bought Online, three teenage girls decide to play a prank on a random stranger. They create a fake profile of a fake beautiful woman on a mail order bride site. Sure enough, a lonely, unstable computer programmer named John falls for her. John buys the fake woman, Diwata, a plane ticket and meets her at the airport only to be duped (and filmed!) by the cruel teenagers. John seeks creepy revenge.
