The Bourne series’ Matt Damon, Julia Stiles and director Paul Greengrass will reunite in a fifth installment of the spy franchise. This will be Damon’s fourth Bourne movie, following The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy, and The Bourne Ultimatum. Jeremy Renner took the reins of the franchise for The Bourne Legacy (directed by Tony Gilroy), but Renner will not be returning this time.
Ex Machina‘s Alicia Vikander will also be in the cast, as will Tommy Lee Jones. Sources report that Jones plays a superior officer at the CIA, so he’s probably a villain and will do a lot of grumbling. No details about the film have been released, but it’s safe to assume it will involve a lot of furiously-edited action filmed with a shaky-cam.
