What a cast! The Roundabout Theatre Company will begin previews of playwright Michael Frayn’s beloved “Noises Off” on December 17. The cast includes Andrea Martin, Campbell Scott, Tracee Chimo, Daniel Davis, David Furr, Kate Jennings Grant, Rob McClure, Jeremy Shamos and Megan Hilty.
Even among such luminous star power, Hilty stands out. She is the charismatic young Broadway veteran (Wicked, 9 to 5) who competed fiercely with Katherine McPhee for the Broadway role of Marilyn Monroe in TV’s Smash. Hilty has been a magnet for awards and has sold out Carnegie Hall as a singer. The play, which originally debuted in 1983, was the first of Frayn’s to be produced.
