The Top 20 performers will battle it out on So You Think You Can Dance. One of them is Jersey Girl Ariana Crowder. The 22-year-old dancer from Somerset is on Team Street but she was formally trained in ballet, tap and jazz. At her first audition on SYTYCD, the producers gave her the option of joining Team Street or Team Stage. Crowder chose Team Street because “hip-hop really helped to grow my individuality as a dancer.” She’s a member of the Beat Club Crew, at The FUNKtion Dance Complex in Edison, NJ.

Crowder knows that her well-rounded background and training is going to work to her advantage on the show. She recently told NJ.com, “You have to be versatile to last longer in the competition. I definitely think I’m pretty well prepared.” SYTYCD airs Mondays at 8pm on Fox.
