The film Chocolate City is about a group of sexy young male exotic dancers. It’s like Magic Mike but all the dancers are black. Chocolate City stars the six-packed actors Robert Ri’chard, Tyson Beckford, Michael Jai White, DeRay Davis, Darrin Dewitt Henson, and the female token, Vivica A. Fox. The protagonist is Michael, a clean-cut college student who is trying to make ends meet but his minimum wage job isn’t doing it. At first he’s reluctant to try dancing but then he becomes addicted and takes on the stage name Sexy Chocolate.
Michael is portrayed by Robert Ri’chard. The 32-year-old actor is best known for his roles in The Vampire Diaries (Jamie), Meet the Browns (Derek), Veronica Mars (Mason), and One on One (Arnez). He also played Samuel L. Jackson’s son in the 2005 film Coach Carter. Chocolate City will premiere on BET June 11 at 8pm.
