The latest member of Real Housewives of Orange County, Meghan King Edmonds is the third wife of former baseball player Jim Edmonds. She moved into his house, the one he built and decorated with wife #2. So now, after being married for four months, she wants to replace a few things to make the home feel like it belongs to the both of them. Fair enough.

When they go shopping at an antique store, Jim disses Meghan repeatedly. And she doesn’t react, at all. It’s like she’s deaf, or dead inside. When Meghan points out a pretty chandelier to him, Jim says “we already have that.” He doesn’t want to buy things they already have “just because you want to change it.” When Meghan picks up a wine glass and it makes a clank when she puts it back on the shelf he talks to her like she’s a child, “They’re breakable, so be careful.” (Really, wine glasses are breakable, Jim?!) Still, no reaction from Meghan. When Meghan tries to engage him in a conversation about Tuscan decor being “rustic with a rich feel,” he shoots back, “you just like to throw things together and hope they work.” Think their marriage is going to work?
