Tamar Braxton released a sneak peek of her music video “If I Don’t Have You” and all hell broke loose. She posted a photo on Instagram (now deleted) of a man dressed in all-white dancing provocatively in front of a church altar. Many of her fans called it blasphemous.
Tamar isn’t shy about speaking her mind. She went on Twitter in defense mode. “Don’t even try THAT. This is HIS (the dancer’s) interpretation (of her song) and I’m VERY saved and sensitive to my spirit!!!” She later apologized. Below is the last refrain of “If I Don’t Have You,” a song about a heartbroken woman pining for a lover who has left her.
If I don’t have you, I know I’m done for sure
Nobody worth fighting for, I’m tired of these walls
That’s on my life, I’ll lose my mind if I don’t have you
If I don’t have (you)
Baby, baby
