Hilary Duff is promoting the heck out of her new album Breathe In. Breathe Out. She said while writing the songs she tapped into the emotions she experienced while going through her divorce. After four years of marriage to retired hockey player Mike Comrie, Duff filed for divorce. Together they have a 3-year-old son named Luca.
Duff said of the album: “I’m sure it was hard for him [Comrie] to listen to some of the things I’m sharing about him. But that’s my job. I’m an artist. He knew that when he married me.” One of the songs on Breathe In. Breathe Out is titled “Lies.” The chorus:
“I’m done with your lies
La-la-la-la-lie, la-la-la-la-lies

La-la-la-la-lie, la-la-la-la-lies”
