Many people are wondering why Erin Andrews of Dancing with the Stars and actress Brittany Snow of Pitch Perfect 2 were selected to host the CMT Music Awards this year. An interview with Country Outfitter didn’t really help answer that question, but it was entertaining.

Snow and Andrews initially joked about Getting Drunk on a Plane and drinking out of red plastic Solo cups. But seriously, Andrews replied that the two ladies had “Pandora country music on, non-stop.” They watched CMT videos, too. Andrews said it was a refresher course, “Nothing crazy,” she said. Andrews went on to point out that she and Snow are from the south (both are from Tampa, Florida), so “it’s kind of in our blood.” The CMT Music Awards will air June 10 at 8pm on CMT.
