Dr. Robert Neulander was a prominent OBGYN in Syracuse, New York. He lived in an 8,000 sq. ft mansion with his wife and 25-year-old daughter, Jenna. He now faces 25 years to life in prison after being found guilty of murdering his wife Leslie Neulander and trying to cover it up as an accident. The doctor said he found Leslie on the floor of the shower, unconscious. He ran to get Jenna to get her to call for help. The medical examiner said Leslie’s death was an accident, but a jury found otherwise.
To this day, Jenna believes her father is innocent. She took the stand to lend support to her father’s account. And her brother, Ari Neulander, also testified. The 23-year-old said he spoke with his father the night before about going for a run on the day Leslie died. Even Leslie’s sister, Joanne London, testified in the doctor’s defense. London said Leslie has suffered from vertigo which made her susceptible to falling. But there testimony didn’t sway the jury. Dateline NBC will investigate the death of Leslie Neulander on June 18, 9pm on NBC.
