NASCAR driver Dale Earnhart proposed to his longtime girlfriend Amy Reimann during a recent trip to Germany. Story has it they met at work. As a director at the Micami Design Studio in Charlotte, she was assigned to decorate his home. Five years later, Earnhart finally proposed and put a ring on her finger. But don’t expect to see one on his finger.
According to USA Today, Earnhardt finds jewelry “creepy” and doesn’t like anyone to wear any around him. “I’m not going to be held accountable (to wear a ring) and she can do whatever she wants. I figure if we ever get to that step in life, I owe her that much. I’ll have to put up with (her wearing a ring). But I’m free of all my obligations in that regard.”
