Nick Vujicic was born in 1982 in Australia. Although three ultrasounds missed any signs of it, Nick was born with tetra-amelia syndrome, a rare disorder characterized by the absence of all four limbs. At the age of 19, Nick worked up the courage to speak in front of an audience. He’s been a motivational speaker ever since.
In 2007, Nick left his native Australia and settled in southern California with his wife Kanae and their son Kiyoshi. He is president of the non-profit ministry, Life Without Limbs. Nick’s incredible challenges and amazing achievements will be featured on the TLC show Born Without Limbs, which airs Wednesdays at 9pm on TLC.
