Former Food Network TV star Paula Deen is trying to make a comeback. She closed the restaurant where she used to use racist language with employees (Uncle Bubba’s Seafood & Oyster House in Savannah) and has opened a new restaurant, Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. It’s right next door to the popular tourist attraction Dollywood.
Paula Deen Ventures is smart to choose a location in the mountain resort city. In addition to Dollywood, there’s tons to do include visiting the National Elvis Museum and NASCAR speedpark. Also interesting to note that the racial makeup of Pigeon Forge is 94.71% White, 0.65% African American.
