According to Arkansas State Police documents unearthed by In Touch magazine, Jim Bob Duggar of 19 Kids and Counting, turned in his eldest son Josh Duggar, then 17, to police for “inappropriate touching” with a minor. That was in 2005. The case went cold after the state trooper who took the report was arrested and convicted on charges of child pornography. He is now serving a 56-year sentence in prison.
Josh Duggar is now 27, married with three children — and one on the way. He lives in Washington, DC and is a lobbyist for Family Research Council, a conservative Christian group that defends “religious liberty, the unborn and families.” It opposes and lobbies against LGBT rights, abortion, divorce, embryonic stem-cell research and pornography. In 2010, the Southern Poverty Law Center classified the FRC as an anti-gay hate group.
