The New York Post published aerial shots of the lush lawns of Hollywood celebrities including Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Simpson, and Hugh Hefner among others. Their sprawling lawns are a deep dark green while outside the properties is dry dirt because the State of California is experiencing a devastating drought.
One official with the Las Virgenes Municipal Water District told the Post that roughly “70 percent of the district’s water is going to the lawn maintenance of about 100 manicured estates.”
