The Voice’s Adam Levine brings in Dave Stewart to help mentor his team, which has dwindled down to Deanna Johnson and Joshua Davis. Stewart is best known for his work with Eurythmics. He was Annie Lennox’s other half on- and off-stage. Their eerie new wave single, Sweet Dreams Are Made of This, put them on the map.
Stewart now spends a lot of time writing and producing songs and albums for other stars including Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers (“Don’t Come Around Here No More”), Mick Jagger (“Primitive Cool”), Jon Bon Jovi (“Destination Anywhere”), and No Doubt (“Underneath It All”). So yeah, he knows the business. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
