LeAnn Rimes’ last album, Spitfire, was released in June 2013. Spitfire sold 10,798 copies in its first week and debuted at No. 36 on the Billboard 200 chart. Since then, no new original music from the normally prolific artist. Rimes says she’ll release a new Christmas EP every year, and she dropped one in 2014, but that doesn’t count as real, original music. Nor do greatest hits remixes.
Has Rimes hit a creative brick wall? If so it’s a happy one. According to her Instagram account, she seems perfectly happy wearing bikinis, living in an RV with her husband Eddie Cibrian, and not singing. But she is an artist first and foremost. Even if Rimes isn’t making music (and she might be) she’s still unleashing her creative energy. Check out the weird ‘Sticky Studios’ video below.
