It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Brooklyn singer India Carney is headed to the Live Playoffs after making it through the final night of Voice Knockouts on The Voice. She’s a hardworking, sought-after talent. After graduating from LaGuardia Arts High School (the “Fame” school in New York City), she was recruited to UCLA, where she’s about to graduate. Carney has been trained in classical opera but can sing equally well in the genres of pop, jazz, blues, gospel, musical theater, and a cappella.
When not singing for the likes of superstar Christina Aguilera, Carney is serving as the current music director of the UCLA ScatterTones, the university’s award-winning a cappella group. It took four years, but the ScatterTones are proud to announce their new album, Being Young. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
