It’s true. Stand-up comedian Jimmie Walker, best known as J.J. on Good Times, has a role in a dark comedy with Academy Award winner Tatum O’Neal (Paper Moon). In Sweet Lorraine, the double life of a Methodist minister’s wife (O’Neal) catches up with her as her husband campaigns for mayor in a small New Jersey town.
From the producer of Quiz Show and Mississippi Burning, Sweet Lorraine also stars Steven Bauer (Scarface, Primal Fear, Raising Cain) and Peter Greene (Pulp Fiction, The Mask, Clean, Shaven). The film was completed in 2010 but according to imdb is having a wider release on in April 2015. Maybe Jimmie Walker will reveal more about the film when he appears on Late Night with David Letterman on March 13, 11:30pm on CBS.
