Dance Moms instructor Abby Lee Miller sets up an audition with a casting agent for the girls, but the pressure of Los Angeles (she just opened a studio there) proves to be too great and Abby suffers a breakdown. You can tell something is terribly wrong. Abby hasn’t puffed up her hair or put on her Tammy Faye Bakker-style makeup.
When one of the young dancers, JoJo, takes one of the group dance dresses, Abby loses it. JoJo’s not in the group dance! “That’s really inappropriate,” she tells JoJo. “For you to come over here and take one…is a greedy little monster.” Abby kinda apologizes. She says she doesn’t want to be mean to children–especially since “it’s the adults who are telling them to do things.”
