Actress Allison Williams spoke with Seth Meyers at New York’s 92Y this week, where she defended her father, NBC anchorman Brian Williams. Her father was recently suspended for six months, without pay, for consistently “misremembering” an Iraqi war story for 12 years. “He’s an honest man. He’s a truth man,” she said. “And yes, he’s a really good dad. I know you can trust him because, as any good daughter does, I’ve tested him on that so many times,” she added.
Brian Williams has certainly been tested by his daughter Allison. Just recently she appeared in an extremely graphic scene on the show, Girls. Her father was interviewed after watching the scene. He said, “She’s always been an actress. For us, watching her is the family occupation and everybody has to remember it’s acting, no animals were harmed during the filming, and ideally nobody gets hurt.”
