The patriarch of Fox’s new hit drama Empire, Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard), is trying to promote his son Hakeem’s singing career. Lucious thinks Hakeem’s relationship with hip-hop star Tianna could help. Tianna is a Rihanna kind of singer. On the next episode of Empire (January 21), she films her sexy video for “Bad Girl” (with V. Bozeman) in front of Hakeem and Lucious.
The young woman who plays Tianna is a bit of a mystery. Her name is Serayah McNeil but there’s not a lot of information about the triple threat talent (she can sing, dance and act). Serayah’s profile on Soundcloud says she was born in Encinitas, California, and that watching Aaliyah and Janet Jackson perform on TV inspired her to pursue a career in music.
