Kathy Taylor was diagnosed with an aggressive form of melanoma when she was 26 weeks pregnant with her sixth child. She was 34. She gave birth on September 11 to son Luke, who weighed 1 lb. 15 oz. He died weeks later.

McLachlan also helped to make Taylor’s recorded version of McLachlan’s hit song I Will Remember You available on iTunes. All proceeds go to her medical expenses.
