During the American Idol auditions in San Francisco, R&B/Soul singer Rayvon Owen sings Katy Perry’s song “Wide Awake.” Judges Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban are impressed and excited. “You can sing!” they tell Rayvon. But he already knows that.
If Rayvon looks familiar to you, you’re not alone. He performed at the 2014 CMJ Music Festival, and was recently named one of The Huffington Post’s Artists to Watch. Rayvon already released his debut EP, “Cycles,” which includes the hit track, “Rescue,” which was co-written by 30 Seconds from Mars’ Steve Aiello! Just like the former professional dancer Alfonso Ribeiro who won the last season of Dancing With the Stars, Rayvon is a ringer.
