The low-key celebrity couple issued a statement announcing that the split was amicable and “asking for media to respect their privacy at this time,” something you can be sure is not going to happen. As Elle UK reports, the news is shocking and sad from “the couple who managed to simultaneously make zero sense and all the sense.” Former teen pop-queen Moore and indie rocker Adams had kept their relationship private and avoided the pitfalls of celebrity gossip. “The pair lived in LA—along with several rescued dogs and felines—though Ryan has been on the road for much of the past year promoting his recent album.”
Perhaps being apart contributed to the split, even though last year Moore Instagrammed a photo of their marriage certificate with the caption “The best 5 years.”
