Singer/songwriter Karly Moreon is auditioning on American Idol. The 19-year-old from Mission Viego, California has been singing since she was 5. At age 11 she learned to play the guitar. Soon after that, she started writing her own songs. In her senior year of high school, she was voted “most likely to sell a million records.” It’s only been one year since graduation, but she’s on her way!
Since high school, Moreon has been performing as the opening act for her uncle’s band, Five South. They’ve played at House of Blues at the Voodoo Lounge and The Greek Theater on the Plaza stage. Now, as rocker Lenny Kravitz would say, she wants to “take it higher.” Her first single “Feelin’ Good” is available on iTunes.
