Family Guy, American Dad! creator Seth MacFarlane is singing old show tunes from the 1940s and 50s. This holiday season he’s singing with the San Francisco Symphony (on New Year’s Eve!) which will help sell a few copies of his album, Holiday For Swing. Tickets to the SF Symphony run from $85-$225.
If you’re not into classic holiday songs like Baby, It’s Cold Outside and I’ll Be Home For Christmas, check out MacFarlane’s debut album, Music Is Better Than Words. It includes original material including She’s Wonderful Too which was written by Joel McNeely for an episode of the Lucasfilms TV show, The Young Indiana Chronicles. With the blessing of George Lucas, MacFarlane and McNeely composed additional lyrics and melodies to make “a new and more complete song.”
