Bill Peduto has been the Mayor of Pittsburgh for only 10 months but he’s eager to see if the changes he’s made while in office have been effective. So he went undercover as a municipal employee in the Steel City. His experience as a refuse worker, a carpenter, a self-sufficiency coordinator, and working in the forestry division can be seen on the CBS show, Undercover Boss, Sunday, December 21 at 8:30pm.
The 50-year-old Democratic mayor said it was an exhausting experience. He worked undercover as “Mr. Chadwick” during the day and then returned to his office at night to attend to his mayoral duties. Peduto told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: “There will be those who would be against me doing this in the first place, without watching the show, but it would be very difficult for them to justify that [opinion], after watching.”
