“Anything you wear can and will be held against you,” warns a clearly delighted Kathy Griffin in the new trailer for the upcoming season of Fashion Police, which premieres on E! January 12. But Kelly Osbourne makes the biggest impression–promising the show won’t be all mean-spirited gotcha. “You have a right to remain stylish,” the former reality star says, somehow looking even happier than Griffin. (Maybe we’ve finally found the secret to happiness, and it’s a combo of snark and style?)
It may be Kelly Osbourne’s right to remain stylish, whether she exercises it or not. One way to stay above the fashion fray is to wear a t-shirt and jeans everywhere, so you can judge without endangering your own glass house. Or you can go the other way, a la Gaga, and dial it up to beyond style, where criticism falls down around you like the fluffy ash of whatever perception you just blew up. Kelly Osbourne chooses the latter with a lustrous purple faux-hawk that flops down all Thompson Twins-y and defies criticism. From this royal-hued head Kelly shall lay down the judgement.
