The influence of the Kim Kardashian photo that did not break the Internet continues. Kardashian’s posterior is casting a very large shadow on the blogosphere. ESPN’s Mike Golic recreated the picture after losing a bet. Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi used it as inspiration for their holiday e-card. But perhaps most surprisingly, the picture is being used to help students prepare for their Math SATs. Catalyst Prep has repurposed the photo to help students bone up (sorry) on geometry questions.
“As patriotic, pop-culturally-minded Americans, we couldn’t help but see Kim Kardashian’s recent photos as an opportunity to teach SAT math,” the company tweeted. And there was I thinking that the only math we think about when we think about Kardashian is her bank balance. See, every event can be a teachable moment. π
